A growing international campus leadership network connecting university students across Africa and beyond.
The Matadors Campus Lab is MLI's campus-based leadership network — a growing international community connecting university students who are serious about developing their leadership, deepening their civic engagement, and building lasting peer networks across borders.
The Campus Lab operates at the institutional level: establishing active leadership structures on university campuses, providing peer mentorship frameworks, and connecting students across different countries into a shared community of emerging leaders.
Campus Lab members gain access to MLI's leadership development resources, cross-campus peer accountability structures, facilitator mentorship, and a network of alumni now leading across six countries. For students who have limited access to formal leadership development, the Campus Lab provides the structure that makes leadership growth possible.
University students (undergraduate and postgraduate) across Nigeria, Kenya, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Ghana, and beyond — who want to build their leadership within a serious, structured community.
Each campus has a designated Campus Lab coordinator and peer leadership structure. National and cross-border virtual sessions connect campuses quarterly. Individual campuses run monthly sessions tailored to their context.
